This course material is derived from the Industrial Power Systems course I teach at
Ibn-Khaldoun University in Tiaret. It has been compiled from various bibliographic
references and is intended for second-year Master’s students in Electrical Networks
(semester 03), but it can also be useful for other technical specialities.
This course aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge and concepts related
to the study of industrial power systems (architectures, diagrams, plans, etc.),
power balance calculation, energy minimization, selection of electrical conduits, fault
calculation, and protection. It aims to enhance students’ understanding of the basic concepts
of electrical networks and deepen their knowledge through practical application
in industrial systems.
This modest course material will be a valuable addition to our university’s educational
resources and teaching tool for our students. Certain technical guides and catalogues
have inspired the text in this course material.
